Three Little Snowmen

Here is a quick card that I did as a family Christmas card.  I wanted to post it because, well, we're transitioning out of the holidays now and into the New Year and Valentine's Day!  I didn't want this one to get left behind...

Nothing extravagant, but I think they're cute!

Mats: Edge Scissors
Ink: misc Memento inks
And I must apologize, but I can't remember the details of the snowmen stamp!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day (and the last of 2015)! Happy New Year's to Everyone!

Christmas Star

I wanted to post a couple more cards that got pushed aside.  This one was made using a technique, not really any coloring, die cutting or anything too intense.  I had seen this card before, somewhere, and wanted to try and replicate it.  While I love this card, it really isn't one that's easily mailed so it is limited to hand delivery.

Here is a couple close-up view of the card that show a little more detail.

Paper: Christmas cardstock from Michaels, PTI
Ink:  Antique Linen for distressing
Cuts:  Stars were hand-cut, label from Sizzix, I believe

Hope your holidays were wonderful, and your blessings continue to flow!

Gift Tags for Neighbors

Hey, Peoples!  I wanted to post these tags that I made for our neighbors.  There are a few of us that exchange goodies around the holidays, and this year I made homemade Cinnamon Raisin bread to give.  I wanted to make tags to go on the gifts, so here's what I made...

I stamped the snowpeople, trees and sentiment, and embossed with clear.  Then I masked and inked the backgrounds with distress inks, and colored the snowpeople with Copics.  I added stickles to the snowline and the snowgirl's pom pom.  Here's a closer shot at the stickles -

Well must run, still one more loaf of bread to bake and get these delivered!  Merry Christmas to everyone, and I hope that your holidays are truly wonderful!

Happy Birthday, Dear Hubby!

I made this card for my DH on his Birthday today, so the post will actually go live tonight.  I used a bunch of odd buttons, twine and ribbon that I had.  Everything else is pretty self-explanatory, I think...  I just want to wish him Happy Birthday, and many more together!!!

And here's another of the detail, it's a better photo too!

Get Well Wishes

Howdy!  Today was a gorgeous day in the neighborhood although I didn't see outside until it was after dark!   I guess it was into the 60's which is amazing since we were in the teens just a couple weeks ago, and even had snow!

Anyway, I made this card for my mom, who had surgery yesterday.  I gave her a beautiful bouquet and card, she enjoyed both!  Poppy was stamped, colored with copics, cut with a Spellbinders oval, then all matted together.  I glossy accented her little barrette.

After all was done, I decided to spray the card front and envelope with pearl Shimmer Mist.  I love the look it gave, and even mom noticed!  Here's a close-up of the shimmer...

Hope your day/evening is a good one!

Stamp: Poppy (MFT) and sentiment

Bosses' Thank You

This card is one that I struggled a bit with, but mostly it was from a distraction.  I made this and gave it to my bosses (married), at our company Christmas party.  I appreciate working for people that appreciate my work, and trust me implicitly.  My job previous to my current, was unfortunately, quite the opposite -- I can honestly say that I was never happier to quit working for someone! Now that I'm OFF that rabbit trail, let's take a look at the card...

I'm sorry this is not a good photo, but besides the bad weather lately, it was a quick snap due to having to run out the door.

Paper:  Linen cardstock (Essentials by Ellen), Burgundy (Core-dinations)
Dies:  SSS (Thanks Border), Memory Box (Lulu Ornament)
Stamp:  PTI snowflake (Mistletoe & Holly)
Hero Arts white EP

Thanks for joining me today, and hope your day is wonderful!

Stamp:  Noah's Ark (Janes Doodles)
Copics

See you again soon!

Thank You Gift

Today I have a pack of cards as a Thank You gift for my eldest daughter's mother-in-law, who is hosting Thanksgiving for both our families today.  She is wonderful and sweet and I thought I would gift her with a few different occasion cards.  I dabbed on the ink over the plate, then used the Big Shot gray to cut out the rest of the details.

Well, that's probably it for me today but I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

OCC Holiday Style Day 7.1

This card is one that I have some critiquing about, some "wishing I woulda"s, but here it is cuz I'm still learning right?
..

Well, I think I would've stuck to silver and gold on the sentiments OR just blue maybe but not all three.  Live and learn...

OCC Holiday Style Day 5

Here is my little scene created from Day 5 of class, Cute & Whimsical Cards.  I loved making this one; probably my favorite, replicating Laura Bassen's whimsy!

This card was not only my first attempt at masking, but also at embossing paste AND copic coloring something that was actually an entire scene not just a small image.  However, I just noticed that I forgot to draw in the rope from the sled to the elf!!!  Oops!

OCC Holiday Style Day 3.2

Here is my Two-Tone Elegance card from our class.  This was TOTALLY inspired by Debby Hughes in all her wonderful talent!  Sorry, I copied it almost every inch, and what I didn't, I totally would change something about "my stamp" on it!

OCC Holiday Style Day 3.1

This card is taken from Day 3 of our class, Kristina Werner's video.  I didn't have a similar stamp, so I used one that I thought would work well for the Classic Style she was going for.

This stamp is from an older set from Close to My Heart.

OCC Holiday Style Day 1.3

This card is taken from Day 1, Laurie Willison's video for Shapes and Masking with Markers.

If I had to critique this one, and trust me I have, I would use a little bigger image or a smaller card base.  However, I really wanted to use this image from PTI and I didn't think of reducing the card until, well you know -- too late!

Maiden Post - OCC Holiday Style Day 1.1

Well, here it is in all its glory - lol.  My guts are churning just to do this, I'm not one to put myself out there but this has been a long time coming and a lot of emotions.  This card is for the Online Card Class, Holiday Style.  This card is from Day 1, Simple Scenes from Julie Ebersole's video.

Ok, I did it, I posted something on the big bad scary internet!
